The tiny village of Otter Creek has a long history and a large spirit. Forested mountains, waterfront, hiking trails, and four diverse seasons provide changing beauty and activities.

Samuel Champlain landed here in 1604. Fish houses dotted the cove until the 1960s. Hills and streets are named after colorful village characters. There are abandoned quarries and old woods roads. There are granite wharves, a boat landing, a playground, and a community hall.
You are invited to get to know our village, a peaceful five-mile distance from the lively Bar Harbor scene. Intimately connected to the land, it is a spiritual haven. Settled by fishermen and farmers, it is a refreshingly pragmatic place.

Just passing through, or spending your life here, Otter Creek would never pretend to have it all, but it has all you need.
